Forgot How To Date After You Are Married?

In this article you will find several ideas for dating your marriage partner.

Do you both enjoy dinner and a movie? Think about creating your own drive-in experience:

Take a laptop with a DVD drive with you
Rent or download a movie
Order something simple at a dimly lit café
Find a seat for two you can call your “love seat,” and cuddle up

For low cost dates:

Find a trail you both would enjoy and go for an all-day hike in the woods
Does your local wine or liquor store host tasting nights? If so, sip some fine wine
Other specialty stores that hold tastings are chocolate stores, cheese shops, or ethnic-food markets
Try couples yoga
Visit a museum
Camp overnight
Spend a day going through model homes or window-shopping
Spend a day test driving cars
Take a long drive or walk just to talk about your shared goals and those things you want to work toward
Go to the highest point in town and watch the sun go down

Reconnecting with romance:

Go through your first date following the same schedule and include as many of the original details as possible. Recall how you talked to each other, explored and began your lifelong journey of getting to know each other
Dress in your most glamorous clothes and look the best version of yourself for your next night out together
Take dancing lessons together
Take your camera and at different points on your night out, ask people to take your photo and make it a point to kiss each for some of the pictures. Create great memories with a collage or slide show of your date.
Take a trip with no packing, no planning, and no ideas where you are going. Just get in your car and start driving. Stop only when you feel hungry or thirsty or an interesting sight or two to explore. Follow your heart rather than a perfect agenda for recapturing an exciting sense of the unknown.
Meet for a midnight snack after the kids are in bed. Nibble on whatever you have or purchase your favorite snacks
Sneak mini dates whenever possible. Take a half hour for a pizza lunch or have one quick cocktail or cup of coffee together after work.
One of you makes all the arrangements and just tells the other where and when with a note in a lunch bag or briefcase, in the car on the driver’s seat or posted on the refrigerator or bathroom mirror.
Spend the day at a totally different kind of festival than you have ever attended before
Stay all night in a high-end hotel or bed and breakfast nearby
